How does pricing work — per seat or per institution?
MedVR licenses are institution-wide, not per-seat. One license covers all students and faculty in your program or department. For hospital systems with multiple sites, Enterprise pricing applies. Contact our team for a custom quote based on your institution size.
How long does it take to get up and running?
Most programs are live within 2–5 business days for web and desktop access. VR headset deployment typically takes 1–2 weeks including IT configuration. Hospital Enterprise implementations with SSO and HealthStream integration typically complete within 30 days.
Do students need a VR headset?
No. All scenarios are accessible via web browser or desktop app — no headset required. VR headsets (Meta Quest 3, Pico 4, HTC Vive) provide the highest immersion but are fully optional. Many programs use a blended approach: headsets for key skills labs, browser for individual practice and assessment.
Can we build custom scenarios for our specific curriculum?
Yes — with Hospital and Enterprise plans, the AI-Humans authoring tool lets faculty describe any patient case in plain language and the platform generates a fully interactive virtual patient in minutes. Is MedVR compliant with FERPA and HIPAA?
Yes. MedVR Education is FERPA-compliant for student records and uses HIPAA-compliant data handling for any clinical content. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We sign BAAs with hospital system customers upon request. Contact our security team for a full compliance package.
